Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID) today announced its highly anticipated Air Connectivity Ranking 2024, revealing a remarkable 14% year-on-year increase in both Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions, driven by strong international demand, robust network recovery, and the return of major travel corridors.
Airports across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East are preparing for nearly 7% annual air travel growth over the next 25 years. To support sustainable development, the 2nd ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East Regional Assembly in New Delhi adopted a resolution promoting the optimisation of current capacity and the expansion of new infrastructure.
Mr. Naga Satyanarayana Vattipalli of Bangalore International Airport Limited, operator of Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru, has been adjudged as the ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East Young Executive Award 2025. The topic of this year’s programme is “How Artificial Intelligence will Transform Airports and Customer Experience”.
Mr. Manoj Kumar Ashokkumar of Bangalore International Airport Limited, operator of Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru, has been adjudged as the ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East Young Executive Award 2024.
ACI Asia-Pacific has announced the winner of the Association’s signature Human Resources programme, the Young Executive Award 2023. Ms. Noor Sabrina, who served as Senior Executive Stakeholder Relations & Regulatory Affairs at Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad until recently, has been declared as the winner. The panel of judges also awarded Honourable Mentions to Mr. Sami Abu-Hmeidan of Queen Alia International Airport (Airport International Group) and Mr. Shoichi Higuchi of Narita International Airport Corporation.
ACI Asia-Pacific has announced the winner of the association’s signature Human Resources programme, the Young Executive Award 2022. Mr. Rekibuddin Ahmed, Manager – Environment, of Delhi International Airport Limited, India was selected the winner. The panel of judges also awarded Honourable Mention to Ms. Emily Chan, Assistant Manager of Standards and Delivery, of Airport Authority Hong Kong.
