Assistant Manager – Technical Affairs

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Assist in analysing latest developments and policy issues on international civil aviation such as safety, security, and environmental protection, including the production of statistical analysis, conducting research and draft reports to support the formulation of ACI Asia-Pacific policies
  • Assist in providing secretarial support to the regional committees
  • Assist in setting up agenda, conducting meetings, writing minutes and implementing follow up actions and projects decided by the regional committees
  • Assist in promoting best practices in Asia-Pacific by facilitating the sharing of information amongst airports
  • Undertake other ad-hoc tasks and assignments as required

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, engineering, or natural science
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the aviation industry and a multicultural working environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Positive work ethics such as being independent, well-organized and result-oriented
  • Good command of written and spoken English and desirably working knowledge of other Asian languages as well
  • Proficiency in PC applications, e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
  • Willingness to travel overseas if requested

Manager – Economics and Data Analytics

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate and implement timely collection and analysis of airport traffic data and airport economics data. Provide recommendations to streamline and improve data collection workflow, increase members’ participation in data submission and enhance the quality of submitted data
  • Produce high-quality economic and statistical analysis to support the formulation of ACI Asia-Pacific policies on economic issues, and be a key contributor in providing quantitative analysis to back the development of regional studies, policy briefs, position papers, and/or industry comments in response to policy proposals
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and closely monitor air traffic and airport financial performance in Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. Lead the preparation of analysis providing insights on air traffic development and airport economics for inclusion in ACI Asia-Pacific reports, speeches, presentations and digital media platforms
  • Evaluate ACI’s data holdings, research and compile alternative source of data, formulate plans to enhance ACI Asia-Pacific statistical analytical and traffic forecast capabilities with an aim to develop new analytical products
  • Support the Head of Economics and Finance in leading projects and discussions at Committee, Task Force and Work Groups. Facilitate the development of regional position in coordination with members and other ACI regions
  • Provide technical support to consultants employed by ACI Asia-Pacific and assist supervisor in the oversight of deliverables


Requirements

 

  • Master’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Business, Finance or related discipline
  • Minimum 6 years solid experience in an analytical role, preferably in the aviation industry and a multi-cultural working environment. Preference will be given to candidates with working knowledge of the current issues and challenges related to airport economics
  • Strategic, forward-thinking and solution focused
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, ability to work successfully in multicultural team and across boundaries and to build networks across the region to achieve results
  • Strong project management skills, and multi-tasking skills with excellent attention to detail
  • High level of proficiency in written and spoken English; and desirably working knowledge of at least 1 other Asian language
  • Proficient in PC applications and Business Intelligence Tools
  • Willingness to travel

Manager – Member Services and Business Development

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage relationships with relevant counterparts of current Airport, Affiliate and Associate members in Asia-Pacific and the Middle East including proactive outreach and addressing members’ needs and enquiries with appropriate facilitation and solutions, as well as upkeep of membership database
  • Develop and implement integrated strategies for retaining and growing membership, including the recruitment, orientation and engagement of members with relevant counterparts, utilizing necessary digital application tools, periodic surveys, etc. 
  • As the focal point of contact for the Regional Office, collaborate and support ACI World and other ACI Regions whenever relevant, to market, promote, and facilitate (in conjunction with relevant subject matter experts) the execution of the suite of programmes and services, including but not limited to Airport Service Quality, Global Training offerings, DNA seminars, APEX, Airport Carbon Accreditation, Airport Health Accreditation, publications and others as directed
  • Responsible for the management and execution of ACI Asia-Pacific’s programmes and services such as Small Airports Assistance Programme, OLC scholarship, Young Executive Award, HR Excellence Recognition, including serving as the secretary to the Regional HR Committee
  • Together with the ACI Asia-Pacific Communications Team, ensure promulgation of pertinent messages, updates, programmes and services of ACI Asia-Pacific to membership and relevant stakeholders and partners
  • Together with the ACI Asia-Pacific Events Team, develop partnership, collaboration and sponsorship opportunities with World Business Partners and other external parties, for the Regional Office’s relevant meetings and events, in-person or virtual
  • Help to maintain up-to-date database of airport members in key markets in Asia-Pacific and ensure consistency between ACI Asia-Pacific and World teams
  • Support the Director General in the outreach and advocacy efforts, including the development of presentation materials, as and when required
  • Represent ACI at various industry committees, working groups or conferences when required
  • Undertake other ad-hoc tasks and assignments, as and when required

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in members services in associations or equivalent
  • Proactive with innovation and excellent skills in planning and executing tasks
  • Experience in airports or aviation industry an advantage
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in a multicultural environment
  • Excellent written and spoken English; fluency in other languages such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, etc., an advantage
  • Intuitive and well-versed in PC and online applications, including Microsoft Office suite, presentation applications, social media, etc.
  • Detail- and result-oriented, organized and able to work independently
  • Able to travel occasionally

Manager – Finance, Human Resources & Administration/ PA to the Director General

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Oversee back-office functions including Finance, Administration, Human Resources & IT:

 

  • Provide full secretarial and administrative support to the Director General
  • Assist the Director General in the organization of Board meetings and Executive Committee meetings, including but not limited to prepare meeting agendas and take minutes during meetings
  • Assist the Head of Economics & Finance in managing all financial and accounting management processes for the office, including financial controls and corporate governance
  • Work with Members Services team to handle membership renewals and invoicing
  • Liaise with external auditors on year end audit
  • Manage all aspects of facilities management for the office
  • Administer full spectrum of HR functions including recruitment & selection, compensation & benefits and staff relations
  • Handle other ad hoc assignments

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Finance or related discipline; an accounting designation will be an advantage
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, and a multi-cultural working environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work successfully in multicultural team and across boundaries and to build networks across the region to achieve results
  • Strong project management skills, and multi-tasking skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work independently, be well-organized and result-oriented
  • High level of proficiency in written and spoken Chinese and English; knowledge of at least 1 other Asian language an advantage
  • Proficient in PC applications & IT applications with prior experience in handling of HRIS development is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel
  • Immediately available is preferred
