Airport Traffic

Weekly Trending of Passenger Volume

ACI Asia-Pacific continues to monitor the impacts of COVID-19 on traffic and connectivity. Weekly trending of passenger volume up to end of October in 2022 for both Asia-Pacific and the Middle East shows a mild increasing trend. In recent months, some markets in the region have been opening their borders and relaxing entry restrictions for international travelers, though some of the positive impacts have been offset by the negative impacts on supply and demand arised by geopolitical and macroeconomic factors. In aggregate, passenger volume for week 43 (week ending on 23 October 2022) was at -59% compared to the same period in 2019.
