ACI Asia-Pacific and Middle East Takes Part in ACI Airport Excellence Programme (APEX) Reviews for Aviation Security Enhancement in two Indonesian Airports

Two Airport Excellence Programme (APEX) Security reviews were successfully conducted at Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) and Lombok International Airport (LOP) from 11-15 September 2023 and 18-22 September 2023, respectively, hosted by PT Angkasa Pura I in Indonesia. ACI Asia-Pacific and Middle East takes part in the APEX Reviews for aviation security enhancement in two Indonesia Airports.

The two respective review teams consisted of security experts from Narita Airport, Changi Airport, Dublin Airport Authority, Macau Airport, Perth Airport, Queen Alia Airport, the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC), ACI Asia-Pacific and Middle East and ACI World.

First launched in 2017, APEX in Security is a peer-to-peer assessment that aims to help airports improve compliance with ICAO SARPs and increase adoption of international best practices. Including the LOP and YIA reviews, nearly 40 APEX in Security reviews have already been conducted globally, and seven of them were from Indonesia.
