17th ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Assembly and Meetings

ACI Asia-Pacific is pleased to have its first in-person gathering since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Graciously hosted by Changi Airport Group, the ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Assembly shall take place on Wednesday, 18 May 2022, in Singapore.

 

The aviation industry and our economies are still adversely affected by different countries’ policies, health protocols and travel restrictions.  As such, this first in-person gathering shall be limited to the Regional Assembly which includes an expanded agenda with engaging updates and presentations for Members’ only.  The expanded agenda of the Assembly will include a Leaders' Forum and discussions on decarbonization and non-aeronautical concession agreements and revenue. 

 

The Assembly will be preceded by meetings of the ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Board on 16 and 17 May 2022.

Health Protocols During Your Stay in Singapore

In order to comply with the Safe Management Measures released by Singapore Tourism Board (STB), travellers must still comply with the latest public health measures and exercise social responsibility during their stay in Singapore.

 

  • Mask-wearing is only required for indoor settings (including on public transport) and optional for outdoor settings
  • Safe distancing is not required between individuals or groups
  • Use the TraceTogether application to check-in at selected venues (e.g. large events and nightlife establishments)

Each airport’s decarbonization journey is unique to their setting and circumstances, with some being further ahead in the process than others. Hear from the CEOs whose airports are more decarbonization-advanced and learn how they are achieving net zero carbon emissions. Discussion on Non-Aeronautical Revenues, Concession Agreements

In the face of uncertainties around passenger profiles and traffic volumes, airports leaders need to adapt with agility and flexibility. Industry experts will deliberate on alternative considerations for commercial contracts between airports and concessionaires, including financial measures with are relief- and risk-sharing. Options include adjustments to Minimum Annual Guarantee, rent waivers, deferment, charges. Hear also their views on concession agreement prolongation, marketing cooperation, airport service quality, operational hours, and communications with regulators, etc.
