There has been cautious sense of optimism for the aviation sector following the relaxation of travel restrictions and successful vaccination programmes in many parts of Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, according to the Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific’s Industry Outlook.
Airport International Group announced that Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) has received 4,196,804 passengers (PAX) between January and July 2022 - marking a 126.2% surge and 17.9% drop against 2021 and 2019 figures, respectively.

Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) today announced the air traffic figures for Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) for July 2022. During the month, HKIA welcomed 401,000 passengers, which represented a growth of 259.3% over the same period last year but passenger volume remained significantly below pre-pandemic levels. Cargo throughput and air traffic movements recorded 17.0% and 3.1% year-on-year drops to 348,000 tonnes and 11,485 movements, respectively.
