KL International Airport (KLIA) and Langkawi International Airport (LGK retained their positions as the world’s best airports by achieving perfect scores of 5.00 respectively in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey for Q3 2022. Both airports had attained the same top spot in Q2 2022. For Q3, KLIA shared the achievement in the over 40 million passengers per annum (mppa) category alongside eight other airports. Meanwhile, LGK was the only airport in its category of 2–5 mppa to score full points in the survey. ASQ is a global survey by Airports Council International (ACI) that measures overall passenger satisfaction for terminal safety, facilities, services, and cleanliness.

Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) today announced the appointments of two senior management positions. Vivian Cheung, currently Executive Director, Airport Operations, will be appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Steven Yiu, currently Deputy Director, Airport Operations, will be appointed as Executive Director, Airport Operations. The new appointments will be effective from 1 December 2022.

International passenger volume nearly doubled compared to the previous month (September) and was the highest since March 2020, due in particular to a significant increase in the number of inbound passengers, following the significant easing of border restrictions since October 11.
