Welcoming the Government of China’s decision to reopen border with quarantine-free travel, Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific reiterated its calls for consistent and harmonised approach from the Governments in response measures towards managing inbound travel.
At the Airports Council International (ACI) Customer Experience Global Summit today, ACI World announced the launch of the new highest level of its Airport Customer Experience Accreditation program, Level 5, with the Republic of Korea’s Incheon Airport as the first airport in the world to achieve this top level of accreditation.

Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) today announced traffic figures of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) for June 2022. During the month, the airport handled 295,000 passengers, representing a surge of 254.1% over June 2021 despite passenger volume remaining significantly below pre-pandemic levels. Cargo throughput recorded a 9.0% drop year on year to 363,000 tonnes, while flight movements increased by 1.2% to 11,175 compared to the same month last year.

Airport International Group announced that Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) has become the first in the Middle East, the second in the ACI Asia-Pacific region and one of only 21 airports worldwide to achieve Level 4+ ‘Transition’ of the Airport Carbon Accreditation Program. The ‘Transition’ certificate - granted by Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific - is valid until the renewal date in May 2025.
