Japan’s airports will require approximately US$29 billion in investment over the next decade and US$80 billion through 2056, as the country seeks to maintain its aviation competitiveness amid rapidly growing passenger demand across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, according to a new study by Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), the trade group representing over 600 airports.

The first is aimed at helping its members to set up procedures to determine when to scale down or shut down aerodrome operations during a thunderstorm and to resume operations afterwards. The 15th meeting of the ICAO Collaborative Arrangement for the Prevention and Management of Public Health Events in Civil Aviation - Asia Pacific (CAPSCA-AP/15) was held from 14-16 December 2022 in Manila, Philippines.
