Hamad International Airport scales with purpose: Achieving its busiest quarter yet while delivering world-class passenger experience

  • 2025-11-11

Hamad International Airport (HIA) has achieved its busiest quarter yet, serving over 14.3 million passengers from July to September 2025, a solid year-on-year growth of 4.3%. The quarter’s highlight was a record-breaking August, which became the airport’s busiest month ever, welcoming over 5 million passengers.  This performance reinforces HIA’s position as one of the world’s fastest-growing global hubs.

This milestone quarter was supported by a 7% year-on-year increase in point-to-point passengers, with 3.4 million travellers flying to and from Doha, alongside growing aircraft movements and strong seat occupancy across airlines operating at Hamad International Airport. Two new routes were launched by Qatar Airways during the quarter, to Malta and Aleppo, further expanding connectivity through its hub airport. An overall customer satisfaction score of 98% was consistently delivered throughout the quarter, underscoring HIA ability to combine operational scale with exceptional service quality.
