Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), the trade association representing airports, today released the 2025 edition of the Airfare Trends for the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions, highlighting the rising cost of air travel.
The Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru (KIAB or BLR Airport) recorded an impressive passenger numbers recovery of 82% since CY 2019 (pre-Covid year), with a total of 27.50M passengers travelling through BLR Airport in CY 2022. This included 85% recovery in the domestic (DOM) sector and 65% recovery in the international (INT) sector.

Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) has welcomed from Zurich on Thursday 2 February, 2023, the first flight of Edelweiss Air; the leading leisure airline of Switzerland and a member of Lufthansa Group.
