Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), the leading trade association representing over 600 airports across 45 countries and territories, has contributed US$50,000 to Airlink, a disaster logistics non-profit organisation, to support humanitarian relief efforts in Myanmar following the recent devastating earthquake.

In June 2022, Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) issued the 14th Five-Year Plan for General Aviation Development, which contains the roadmap for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) development, particularly, the development of the low-altitude economy, which refers to a comprehensive realm of industries center around civil-manned and unmanned aerial vehicles below 3,000 metres in altitude, including manufacturing, flight operations, and other integrated services.
The sixth Aerodrome Safety & Planning Implementation Group (ASPIG/6) met in Muscat, Oman from 27 to 29 May 2024. The meeting addressed various agenda items focused on enhancing aerodrome safety and efficiency in the Middle East region.
