Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), the trade association representing over 600 airports, made strong recommendations at the 60th ICAO Conference of Directors General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for Asia and Pacific regions in Sendai, Japan recently. The Members of the Conference endorsed the ACI APAC & MID’s recommendations and encouraged States to take appropriate steps for implementation.
For the first time ever, Perth Airport has surpassed 1.6 million passengers in a one month period. The July 2025 total of 1,609,744 easily beats the previous July period of 1,493,299 passengers. It also outstrips our best previous month of January 2025 that saw 1,564,314 passengers travel through our terminals.

Overall travel confidence has declined slightly since 2024, with 77% of respondents saying they intend to fly within the next six months (down from 80% in 2024). The largest drop in demand was for business travel.
