Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), the trade association representing airports, today released the 2025 edition of the Airfare Trends for the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions, highlighting the rising cost of air travel.
We are delighted to announce the 2024 ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East WBP Airport Tour to three airports in Thailand, on 8 – 10 October 2024, an annual highlight exclusive to the WBP members of our Region.
ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East delivered a presentation at the 12th ICAO Asia & Pacific Regional Aviation Security Coordination Forum (RASCF-APAC/12), emphasising the importance of the concept of security-by-design, which refers to the integration of security considerations in the design and drawing phase of any new or renovating airport infrastructure. The Forum was held in Manila, Philippines from 25-26 July.
The Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Excellence (APEX) review programme in Security was successfully conducted at Kota Kinabalu International Airport (BKI) from 1 to 5 July 2024, hosted by Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB).
ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East hosted an environmental workshop, "ACI APAC & MID Climate Change Adaptation Working Group Workshop" on the 3 July 2024.
Over the years, ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East has been playing an active role in the area of security and facilitation in the Middle East region.
ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East had the privilege to be invited by the Airport Authority Hong Kong to conduct a briefing session on 10 January 2024 to share the latest developments of One-stop Security (OSS) in the Asia-Pacific region and other parts of the world. The session was attended by around 30 participants from both the Airport Authority Hong Kong and the Aviation Security Company Limited (AVSECO).
ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East continues to proactively advocate for the development of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM).
Developed by the ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East Regional Aviation Security Committee (RASC), this guidance document provides practical examples that can make airport security operations more sustainable from environmental, social, and economic perspectives.
ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East presented the advancements in airport technology and commitment to sustainability of the airport industry at the 48th ASEAN Air Transport Working Group meeting (ATWG48) in Singapore from 2-6 October 2023.
