Skyfields ignites major new development phase as works begin on premier retail and lifestyle destination at Perth Airport

Skyfields, the commercial property arm of Perth Airport, is launching its most significant phase of investment in nearly three decades at a 26-hectare greenfield site approved for retail, lifestyle and entertainment. The development-ready 'Dunreath Green' site fronting both Dunreath Drive and Tonkin Highway marks the first major land expansion at the Airport Estate since the 1990s.

Located 15-minutes from Perth CBD and directly adjacent to the high-performing retail hub along Dunreath Drive - which already draws four million visitors annually to Costco, DFO and the neighbourhood town centre - Dunreath Green is positioned to become one of WA's premier lifestyle and leisure destinations.

Perth Airport Chief Property Officer Dan Sweet said the launch of Dunreath Green is a significant step in the long-term transformation of the estate. Skyfields is unlocking over 250 hectares of non-aviation mixed-use development sites over the next decade. "The completion of site preparation works at Dunreath Green signals Skyfields' transition into a major delivery phase," Mr Sweet said. "The scale of this land supports uses that simply aren't possible in a standard suburban centre. It's a 'blank canvas' for drawcard developments, adventure-leisure concepts, and flagship showrooms. "While these sorts of opportunities are increasingly difficult to find so close to the CBD, Dunreath Green will be a unique chance to create a world-class destination in Australia's fastest-growing capital city, Perth." The development is a critical component of the broader Skyfields vision to develop land for high-value community and commercial use.

Unrivalled connectivity by road, rail and air within transit-oriented precinct

Strategically positioned with high visibility from Tonkin Highway and connectivity to Redcliffe Train Station, Dunreath Green has exceptional accessibility. With the integrated rail link, the precinct sits within a 30-minute commute for 80 per cent of Perth's metropolitan population.

Following the State Government's release of the Draft Redcliffe Station Precinct Improvement plan, Skyfields is working to ensure the precinct becomes a natural extension of the surrounding suburb of Redcliffe, as a high-density, walkable precinct. This includes infrastructure and community amenities to support the much-needed residential development in the adjacent DA6 area to help address Perth's housing affordability challenges.
