Robotic mowers introduced at KIX and ITAMI

Kansai Airports is pleased to announce that we officially began a full-scale operation of robotic mowers at Kansai International Airport (KIX) and Osaka Itami Airport (ITAMI) on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. 

This marks the first time robotic mowers have been introduced at both airports. The initiative aims to reduce workers' workload, minimize the disposal of cut grass, and enhance the overall appearance of green space maintenance within the airport premises. 

The newly introduced machines can be monitored and remotely controlled via a dedicated app, contributing to more efficient airport operations. This initiative is also part of our broader digital transformation (DX) efforts.
