ICAO APAC Regional Webinar on GRF

  • 2022-08-16

Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), International Civil Aviation Organisation and Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific will jointly organise a webinar on Global Reporting System and Format (GRF) on September 29, 2022 with the theme “Ten Months into GRF, Challenges Met and Lessons Learned in Asia-Pacific".

This webinar is aimed at sharing experiences gained from implementing GRF in Asia and Pacific States by aviation regulators, aerodrome operators, Air Traffic Controllers and airlines pilots.

This webinar provides an opportunity for stakeholders from the region to discuss challenges encountered in their efforts to put GRF in place and lessons learned during the last ten months.

Global Reporting System and Format for assessing and Reporting Runway Surface Conditions (GRF) is a new ICAO methodology for assessing and reporting runway surface conditions, which came into effect from November 04, 2021. It ensures a harmonised assessment and reporting of runway conditions and correspondingly improved flight crew assessment of take-off and landing performance.

Dr. Punya Raj Shakya (Regional Officer, Aerodromes and Ground Aids, ICAO) and Mr. SL Wong (Director - Technical & Administrative Affairs, ACI Asia-Pacific) would be the facilitators.

The webinar will be held from 9 AM to 12 PM Bangkok time (UTC+7 hrs).
