Fiji Airports renews longstanding partnership with Radiola to strengthen aviation safety

Fiji Airports has signed a new five-year agreement with Radiola to continue specialist flight inspection services across Fiji, extending a relationship between the two organisations that spans more than 25 years.

The agreement will support the continued inspection and verification of Fiji’s air navigation systems, helping ensure they remain safe, reliable and compliant with international aviation standards.

Flight inspection verifies the accuracy and performance of navigation aids and instrument flight procedures used by aircraft operating within Fiji’s airspace.

Fiji Airports Chief Executive Mesake Nawari said the renewed agreement reflected the organisation’s continued focus on maintaining high standards of aviation safety.

“Safety is the foundation of everything we do at Fiji Airports. Renewing our partnership with Radiola helps ensure our critical air navigation systems continue to operate to the highest international standards, providing confidence to airlines, regulators and the travelling public,” Mr Nawari said.

“Radiola has been a valued partner to Fiji Airports for more than two decades, consistently delivering high-quality flight inspection services and practical technical expertise that has strengthened our operational capability.

“Their collaborative approach and strong working relationship with our Communications, Navigation and Surveillance and Engineering and Maintenance teams have been an important part of this longstanding partnership.

“We look forward to continuing this successful partnership over the next five years.”

The agreement will help ensure Fiji Airports’ navigation aids and associated systems continue to meet international safety and performance requirements.
Radiola Executive Director Richard Thompson said the renewed agreement held special significance for the organisation.

“Fiji was our first international customer, and we are incredibly proud of the trust and relationship that has developed over more than 25 years,” Mr Thompson said.

“We greatly value our partnership with Fiji Airports and look forward to continuing to support Fiji’s aviation sector for many years to come.”
Radiola’s flight inspection services provide independent verification of navigation equipment and instrument flight procedures, supporting regulatory compliance and the integrity of Fiji’s air navigation services.

Over the past 25 years, the partnership has supported the safe and efficient operation of Fiji’s airspace and contributed to the continued development of the country’s aviation sector.

Fiji Airports will continue to invest in partnerships, infrastructure and operational capability that strengthen aviation safety, improve service delivery and support Fiji’s role as the gateway to the Blue Pacific.
