Fiji Airports backs nadi netball association for 2025 Western Rally

Fiji Airports has announced its sponsorship support for the Nadi Netball Association ahead of the Western Rally 2025 tournament, reaffirming its commitment to empowering local communities through sports, youth development and grassroots engagement.

The partnership reflects Fiji Airports’ dedication to promoting healthy lifestyles and nurturing local talent, particularly for young women and girls who find empowerment, confidence, and leadership opportunities through the sport of netball.

Fiji Airports Chief Executive Officer Mesake Nawari said the sponsorship is part of the organisation’s wider vision to invest in communities that surround Fiji’s aviation gateway, the Nadi International Airport.

“Netball is one of Fiji’s most loved sports, and supporting the Nadi Netball Association as it hosts the rally allows us to contribute to community wellbeing while fostering unity and teamwork among our youths,” Mr Nawari said.

“We believe in building stronger connections with our communities both on and off the courts.”

Nadi Netball Association president Sorovesi Matalulu welcomed the sponsorship and highlighted the positive impact it will have on the association’s activities in the upcoming rally.

“This support from Fiji Airports comes at a vital time as we continue to grow netball in Nadi,” Ms Matalulu said.

“It will greatly assist avid netball players, and the overall upliftment of netball players across all levels.

The sponsorship will directly support tournament operations, equipment, training, and the development of both players and officials throughout the competition.

The Western Rally Netball Tournament will be held at the Nadi Muslim College grounds on September 6, 2025.
