
Celebrating 30 years of airport operations in Phnom Penh, Cambodia Airports to become the operator of Techo International Airport

To operate the new international Phnom Penh airport, set to open in the second half of 2025, Cambodia Airport Investment Co. Ltd (CAIC), a subsidiary of Overseas Cambodian Investment Corporation (OCIC) a Cambodian conglomerate, selects Cambodia Airports, a subsidiary of VINCI Airports, the world’s leading private airport operator.
Cambodia Airports will bring its expertise and experience to optimize operations at the large-scale airport complex, which terminal spans over 240,000 square meters. It will deploy its airport culture of excellence in key areas such as efficiency, passenger experience and comfort.
The operator’s scope also includes air service development aimed at boosting Cambodia’s connectivity, especially by attracting new airlines and opening new routes.
With this appointment, Cambodia Airports further strengthens its legacy and shows agility in pivoting to new business opportunities.
On July 6 1995, SCA/ Cambodia Airports became concessionaire of Phnom Penh airport : in 30 years, it developed the airport to multiply traffic by 20, from 300000 passengers in 1995 to 6 million as of today.
