CAM Representatives Participated in the Macau Tourism Promotion and Business Meeting Roadshow in Seoul organized by MGTO and Visited Airlines

Representatives from Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) participated in the Macau Tourism Promotion and Business Meeting Roadshow in Seoul promotional event organized by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO).

 

During the roadshow, representatives of CAM exchanged information with the tourism industry in Macau, and also visited the Korean Branch of Air Macau, Jeju Air and Jin Air respectively for business exchange to discuss about the future direction of route development, and introduce the latest market trends of Macau International Airport (MIA).

 

Jeju Air shared the resumption plan of 2 flights per week between Jeju – Macau in August 2023 and 1 flight per day between Seoul – Macau in September 2023. Jin Air currently maintain a daily flight between Seoul – Macau, and plans to increase to 2 flights per day in the first quarter of next year, using wide-body aircraft for one of the flights. Other international markets in Southeast Asia include Thailand’s Nok Air and Thai Lion Air are planning to launch flights from Thailand to Macau at the end of July or early August. In the meantime, Aero K Airlines from South Korea will launch the route from Jeju to Macau in the next quarter. MIA has been actively supporting and coordinating with the tourism development direction of the Macau SAR Government, while strengthening communication and cooperation with the tourism industry, hoping to jointly expand new tourist sources in Macau and overseas markets, and develop more diversified route services.

 

 

Mr. Eric Fong – Director of the Marketing Department (MKD) of CAM and Mr. Edman Lee – Deputy Director of MKD represented to participate in the event. In addition, representatives from CAM visited Mr. Kim Hee-cheol – General Manager Korean Branch of Air Macau, Mr. Lee Myung Dae – Vice President of Jin Air, Mr. Shin Jamin and Ms. Kim Soojee – Business Planning Team of Jeju Air to discuss the route development.
