- 2025-08-27
To deepen aviation cooperation between Jiangxi and Macau and jointly promote the international operation of China’s domestically developed aircraft, a delegation from Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM), led by Executive Director, Mr. Chu Tan Neng visited Nanchang from 19th to 20th August 2025. The delegation held specialized discussions with representatives from China Eastern Airlines Jiangxi Branch, Jiangxi Airport Group, and Jiangxi Haihun Cultural Tourism Development Company Limited to facilitate the launch of the “Nanchang-Macau” route, coordinate inaugural flight arrangements, and explore long-term multidisciplinary collaboration.
Seizing the opportunity presented by the new route, CAM delegation visited Jiangxi Haihun Cultural Tourism Development Company Limited on 19th August. Both parties conducted in-depth exchanges on developing aviation-themed tourism products, joint marketing initiatives, tourist sharing and innovation in the cultural tourism industry. During the meeting, relevant representatives provided a detailed overview of the development of the National Archaeological Site Park of Han Dynasty Haihun Marquis, a well-known local landmark. Both sides agreed to integrate resources and engage in cross-sector collaboration to expand the cultural tourism and aviation markets.
On the following day, the delegation met with Mr. Jiang Jiangyang, General Manager of Jiangxi Airport Group, and other leaders to discuss the support for the route launch, inaugural flight ceremonies, and long-term network coordination. In the meantime, China Eastern Airlines plans to officially launch the “Nanchang-Macau” route on 10th September 2025, with flights operating every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. This route will be serviced by domestically developed C909 aircraft, marking the first time a Chinese-made aircraft will operate in Macau – a significant milestone. Both parties look forward to leveraging this opportunity to establish a benchmark route for Chinese-made aircraft and to further promote comprehensive integration between Jiangxi and Macau in the economic, cultural and tourism sectors.
This visit laid a solid foundation for the successful launch of the “Nanchang-Macau” route and opened new avenues for future collaboration across broader areas. Macau International Airport will maintain close communication with China Eastern Airlines and Jiangxi-related entities to ensure the success of the inaugural flight ceremony and to continue advancing exchanges and cooperation between Jiangxi and Macau to higher levels.
