ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East launches RFP for airport CAPEX study (2026-2055)
- 2026-01-15
Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID) has launched a Request for Proposals for a long-term comprehensive airport capital expenditure (CAPEX) needs across the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions over 2026 to 2055.
The study will assess long-term airport infrastructure investment requirements of approximately 300 airports, including smaller airports and cargo-focused airports, covering both planned investments and future needs driven by passenger and cargo growth, as well evolving passenger expectations.

This initiative builds on ACI APAC & MID’s preliminary assessment conducted in 2025, which highlighted over US$ 240 billion in planned airport investments by 2035. The new study will go further, providing a longer-term, data-driven view to help policymakers, regulators, investors, and airport operators better understand the scale of investment required to support growth, competitiveness, and climate-aligned development through to 2055.
Submission deadline: 7 February 2026, 18:00 (Hong Kong Time)
