Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID) and the Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, establishing a formal framework for collaboration between the region’s airport and air traffic management (ATM) communities.
Fiji Airports has signed a contract with Rapiscan Systems, the world’s leading security screening provider, to supply the four new Hold Baggage Screening (HBS) machines for Nadi International Airport valued at FJD10 million. The contract was signed in Nadi yesterday between Fiji Airports chief executive Mesake Nawari and Matthew Wright, the Manager Sales of Rapiscan.

Airport International Group announced that Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) welcomed 625,695 passengers (PAX) in March 2025, marking a 4.8% increase compared to the same period last year. QAIA also recorded 5,741 aircraft movements (ACM), a 4.8% rise, and handled 6,187 tons of cargo, a 2.7% decline year-on-year.
The total number of international passengers was 101% compared to March 2019, with foreign and Japanese passengers recovering to 117% and 73%, respectively. This marks the seventh consecutive month that the total passenger count exceeded pre-COVID-19 figures.
