Airport operations remain largely normal under inclement weather

  • 2025-08-05

Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) has maintained normal operations overall under inclement weather this morning. As of 1030hrs, 61 departure and 40 arrival flights were delayed, one departure and one arrival flight cancelled, and two arrival flights diverted to other airports.

Inclement weather is expected to continue to affect some flight operations today. Airport Authority Hong Kong advises passengers to check with their airlines for the latest flight information and proceed to the airport when flight time is confirmed. Passengers may also visit HKIA’s website or make use of the “My HKG” mobile app for checking latest flight information. In addition, as transportation to and from the airport may be affected by adverse weather conditions, passengers should allow sufficient time for travelling to the airport.
