Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), the leading trade association representing over 600 airports across 45 countries and territories, has contributed US$50,000 to Airlink, a disaster logistics non-profit organisation, to support humanitarian relief efforts in Myanmar following the recent devastating earthquake.
Stefano Baronci, Director General of the Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific, said the pandemic has "brought technology to the fore and has only accelerated the digital transformation that was already in place before," during an interview, July 7, with The Korea Times at the headquarters of the Korea Airports Corp. (KAC) in Seoul.

Over the years, ACI Asia-Pacific has played an active role in the area of security and facilitation in the Middle East. Mr. Gary Leung, Manager of Security and Facilitation of ACI Asia-Pacific, was elected vice-chair of the ICAO Middle East Regional Aviation Security and Facilitation Implementation Team (RAFIT) since its inaugural meeting back in 2018.
Pursuant to the success of Wings 2020, Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) jointly organized Wings India 2022 -- Asia's largest event on civil aviation, covering the commercial, general and business aviation segments.
