BLR Airport exports 31.5 Lakh Mangoes to 51 Global Destinations in record season
- 2025-08-13
Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru (BLR Airport) has concluded its most successful mango season yet, exporting 921 metric tonnes (MT) of mangoes to destinations across the globe. This represents a 12% increase over last season — the equivalent of 31.5 lakh mangoes shipped in FY 2025. Sourced from the lush mango belts of Karnataka and neighbouring regions, BLR Airport helps deliver this golden harvest from local orchards to consumers worldwide.
This season’s success reflects BLR Airport’s growing role as a global hub for perishables. Shipments reached 51 international destinations, a 21% increase from last year, with 19 new destinations added to the network. A total of 24 airlines facilitating mango exports this season. Top five international destinations include Dulles (IAD) Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW), San Francisco (SFO), Chicago (ORD), and Seattle (SEA).
Satyaki Raghunath, Chief Operating Officer of Bangalore International Airport Ltd, added, "At BLR Airport, we take great pride in being a trusted link between our farmers and global consumers. The success of this mango season speaks to the collaborative efforts of our regulatory bodies, airline partners, cargo handlers, trade promotion councils, trade bodies, and farming communities."
From the orchards of Karnataka and neighbouring states to global destinations, BLR Airport continues to strengthen farm-to-fork connections for India’s agricultural exporters. These efforts not only enhance the livelihoods of local farmers and agri-businesses but also carry the distinctive flavour and heritage of Indian mangoes to global consumers. With each passing season, BLR Airport remains committed to deepening these connections, enabling India’s agricultural exports to flourish and compete in international markets.
