Airports are like any other civilian infrastructure and must never be targets of military action: ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East
- 2026-03-01

The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has impacted lives, shaken communities, and disrupted key air connectivity corridors that bridge families, businesses, and nations across the region and beyond.
We stand in solidarity with our colleagues at airports across the region, who in the face of uncertainty and operational pressure, continue to respond with professionalism and compassion to support affected passengers, airlines, personnel and communities.
We reiterate that airports are like any other civilian infrastructure and must never be targets of military action.
We call on the governments of the affected countries to extend all possible support to airports to ensure the protection of airport personnel, passengers and facilities, and to help restore operations as swiftly and safely as possible.
