AAHK: Cargo aircraft fuselage lifted

The professional team lifted the main fuselage of the cargo aircraft out of water, and placed it on a barge at 1937hrs on 26 October. The team will continue to salvage the remaining parts of the aircraft tomorrow, and is expected to complete all salvage work tomorrow evening.

 

The fuselage and other parts of the cargo aircraft will be transported to storage site for the further handling by the Air Accident Investigation Authority (AAIA).

 

Flight operations at HKIA have remained normal since the salvage work started on 24 October.
