39th Anniversary of Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited

On the occasion of the 39th Anniversary of formation of Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT), it has been announced that AOT has handled a total of 10,503,326 commercial flights and serviced 1,573,696,970 passengers. At present, there are more than 130 carriers operating from its airports serving passengers to more than 200 destinations.

 

AOT operates six international airports in Thailand and has plans to increase passenger traffic to 130 millions this year, representing a 9 - 10% increase compared to last year performance.

 

During eight months of this fiscal year period between October 2017 to May 2018,  AOT handled 95,536,222 passengers. International passengers accounted for 55,021,195, representing a 14.03% year-on year increase while domestic passengers accounted for 40,515,027 passengers, representing a 4.71% year-on-year increase.

 

AOT has been committed to improving the capacities of all its airports and has a plan to develop an integrated national air travel network that includes improving cargo handling together with commercial passenger services.

 

New business opportunities are also being explored to expand its operations. Increased utilization of new innovations and technologies will ensure greater convenience at all of our six airports.
