Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID) and the Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, establishing a formal framework for collaboration between the region’s airport and air traffic management (ATM) communities.
Airport International Group announced that Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) has welcomed 1,835,101 passengers (PAX) during the first four months of 2022 - marking a 204.8% surge and 32.7% drop against 2021 and 2019 figures, respectively. Moreover, QAIA recorded 18,962 aircraft movements (ACM) - representing a 126.6% increase and 22.5% decrease compared with 2021 and 2019 figures, respectively. QAIA also handled 18,853 tons of cargo - which was 31.4% higher and 40.3% lower than figures registered in 2021 and 2019, respectively.

Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) welcomes the appointment of two new members to the Board, as well as the reappointment of two existing members. The two new members are Philip Chen Nan-lok and Laurence Li Lu-jen S.C., and the two reappointed members are Ir Dr the Honourable Lo Wai-kwok and Stuart Thomson Gulliver. The 17th Airport Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific Regional Assembly Meeting 2022, held in Singapore on 18th May 2022, is the first in-person Regional Assembly Meeting held since the outbreak of COVID-19. Airports Council International Asia-Pacific (ACI) has appointed Managing Director of Malaysia Airports, Dato’ Iskandar Mizal Mahmood as Regional Board Director at the 17th ACI Regional Assembly Board Meeting. Dato’ Iskandar joins three other newly appointed Regional Board Directors for a three-year term commencing June 2022.
