The Department of Civil Aviation and Sharjah Airport Authority observed the Commemoration Day in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Khalid Bin Issam Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Civil Aviation, His Excellency Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority and His Excellency Sheikh Faisal Bin Saoud Al Qassimi, Director of Sharjah Airport Authority, along with the employees from both sides and representatives of government and private entities working at the airport. The events commenced by lowering the flag at half-mast in front of the airport administration building and observing a minute’s silence to honour the martyrs, followed by a flag-hoisting ceremony during which national anthem was played.
