Direct services from Malaysia have returned to Gold Coast Airport, with the touch down of AirAsia X this morning arriving direct from Kuala Lumpur for the first time in three years. International operations resumed at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport on March 26, the first day on which 2023 summer flight schedule came into effective. In the morning, a ceremony was held at SHA to celebrate that international flights as well as flights to Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan were restarted. MU721, departed at 0822AM from Hongqiao International Airport for Hong Kong, was the first one witnessing the international operations recommenced.
