Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), the leading trade association representing over 600 airports across 45 countries and territories, has contributed US$50,000 to Airlink, a disaster logistics non-profit organisation, to support humanitarian relief efforts in Myanmar following the recent devastating earthquake.
Sunshine Coast Airport and Bonza have celebrated another milestone today with the announcement of a new direct service between the Sunshine Coast and Darwin. The new service is set to take off from 29 November with flights now on sale, starting from just $149 (one-way).

Developed in partnership with PwC, the Airport Connectivity Report measures passengers’ ability to access the global air transport network, capturing both direct and indirect routes, and also factoring in the quality of service of each connection, such as destination choice, service frequency, onward connectivity and price, contributing to the passenger experience. The report covers a sample of 100 airports that accounts for almost 60% of the combined passenger traffic in Asia-Pacific and the Middle East in 2019.

The Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has renewed the aerodrome license of Mangaluru International Airport. The renewed license effective from September 16, 2023, will be valid for a period of 5-years, that is up to September 15, 2028. The validity of the current aerodrome license issued on March 16, 2022, ended on September 15, 2023. The airport received the renewed license on September 12.
