Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), the leading trade association representing over 600 airports across 45 countries and territories, has contributed US$50,000 to Airlink, a disaster logistics non-profit organisation, to support humanitarian relief efforts in Myanmar following the recent devastating earthquake.
International flight passengers are forecasted to be 665,300 (daily average: 66,500). Note: Results during summer holidays in 2019 for 10 days were 748,030 with a daily average of 74,800. The busiest departure day is expected to be Saturday, August 10, 2024, with 39,000 departing passengers, while the busiest arrival day is forecasted to be Friday, August 9, 2024, with 36,900 arriving passengers.
Hamad International Airport (DOH) has demonstrated exceptional growth in the first half of 2024, witnessing a significant increase of 25% in passenger traffic. Airport International Group announced that Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) received 4,152,533 passengers (PAX) until June 2024, witnessing a 4.6% drop in PAX figures, as opposed to the same period in 2023. QAIA also reported 35,562 aircraft movements (ACM) and 38,424 tons of cargo, down 4.5% and up 23.5%, respectively, against the same period the previous year.

Macau International Airport (MIA) recorded significant passenger growth in the first half of 2024. From January to June 2024, MIA handled over 3.73 million passengers and more than 29,000 aircraft movements marking an increase of 91% and 72% respectively compared to the same period of last year.
The total international passenger traffic recovered to 92% in 2019, with the non-Japanese traffic reaching a record high of 1.62 million* on a single month basis since the airport opened.
