Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), the trade association representing over 600 airports across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, today released its flagship Air Connectivity Index, recording an average growth of 11% in 2025 across the two regions.

Airport International Group announced that Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) welcomed 625,695 passengers (PAX) in March 2025, marking a 4.8% increase compared to the same period last year. QAIA also recorded 5,741 aircraft movements (ACM), a 4.8% rise, and handled 6,187 tons of cargo, a 2.7% decline year-on-year.
The total number of international passengers was 101% compared to March 2019, with foreign and Japanese passengers recovering to 117% and 73%, respectively. This marks the seventh consecutive month that the total passenger count exceeded pre-COVID-19 figures.

Dubai International (DXB) is bracing for a holiday surge unlike any other, with more than 3.6 million guests in total expected to pass through its terminals during the Eid travel peak from 26 March to 7 April. The busiest day of the period is forecast for Saturday, 5 April, when 309,000 guests are expected.
