Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), the trade association representing over 600 airports, made strong recommendations at the 60th ICAO Conference of Directors General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for Asia and Pacific regions in Sendai, Japan recently. The Members of the Conference endorsed the ACI APAC & MID’s recommendations and encouraged States to take appropriate steps for implementation.

An ACI World's Airport Excellence Program (APEX) APEX in Security review was successfully conducted at Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) from 27 November to 1 December, hosted by Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV). It was the first ever APEX review conducted in the country.
Adoption of technology for enhanced airport security remained on the top agenda at the 31st ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East Regional Aviation Security Committee (RASC) that convened in Bangkok from 7-9 November 2023.
