Yoshiyuki Yamaya, Representative Director and CEO
I would like to express my sincere welcome to Mr. Mikami on his appointment as CEO. Kansai Airports Group has been operating Kansai International Airport, Osaka Itami Airport, and Kobe Airport in an integrated manner, while continuously taking on multifaceted challenges. These include promoting the recovery of international passenger traffic, advancing terminal renovations, and revitalizing regional tourism. In particular, various initiatives have been undertaken to develop facilities to accommodate growing international traffic and to enhance the passenger experience. As a result, expectations from the local community continue to grow.
Mr. Mikami has demonstrated exceptional capability in balancing execution and sustainable value creation across diverse business domains. His extensive experience will be a great asset to the future operations of the three Kansai airports.

Amid rapidly changing domestic and global environments, I am confident that he will provide strong leadership in implementing a wide range of initiatives, including ensuring safety and security as the top priority, enhancing convenience, strengthening the business foundation, and expanding the economic benefits across the wider Western Japan area.

Benoit Rulleau, Representative Director and Co-CEO
I am pleased to extend my heartfelt welcome to Mr. Mikami.

In recent years, Kansai Airports Group has steadily advanced a range of improvements and service enhancement initiatives, entering a new stage of growth as a key gateway connecting the Kansai region with the world. Notably, the large-scale renovation of KIX Terminal 1 has significantly enhanced passenger comfort and efficiency, leading to a marked increase in customer satisfaction.

Mr. Mikami’s broad experience and forward-looking business leadership will be indispensable to the continued development of Kansai Airports Group. As we look ahead, we will focus on further strengthening our international network—particularly with Asia—while continuing to enhance both environmental sustainability and passenger experience.

Under his leadership, we will continue to work together as “One Kansai Airports Group” to contribute to local communities and to build airports that are the preferred choice for our customers.

Yasuaki Mikami, New Representative Director and CEO
I have assumed the position of Representative Director and CEO of Kansai Airports, and will be responsible for steering the operations of our three airports. The three Kansai airports function as vital infrastructure supporting the economy and culture of the Kansai and the Western Japan region, while acting as a “meeting point” that connects the region with the world. As initiatives to enhance customer value—such as the renovation of KIX Terminal 1— continue to advance steadily, I feel a strong sense of responsibility in taking over this role.

Looking ahead, we will accelerate our efforts toward the next stage of growth, including further improving airport convenience and comfort, expanding international demand, and promoting environmentally responsible management.

I am committed to working together with all our stakeholders and every customer who uses our airports, and to making every effort to meet their expectations.
