Weather impacting BNE flights

  • 2023-02-14

Thunderstorms are currently impacting South East Queensland including Brisbane Airport.

As a result of the threat of lightning, ground activity has been temporarily stopped.

Aircraft may land and take-off, but services such as baggage handling, catering, refuelling, cleaning and maintenance are suspended as it is too dangerous to have people exposed to the threat of lightning. This includes the risk for passengers on the tarmac.

We expect some delays until the threat from lightning passes.

Travellers should check with their airlines as to the impact on their flights.
