Velana International Airport Again Breaks its Record on Air Traffic Movements

Velana International Airport breaks its previous record on the highest number of Air Traffic Movements (ATMs) in a single Day on 7th January 2018.

Maldives Airports Company Ltd’s (MACL) Air Traffic Management Services confirms that on 7th January 2018 there were 108 International ATMs, 94 Domestic ATMs & 442 seaplane ATM’s at Velana International Airport. 644 is the highest ever recorded ATM in the history of Airport since its official opening on 12th April 1966.

This is an increase of 77 ATMs compared to the previous record of 567 ATM’s on 2nd January 2017,
