Turkish Airlines to resume Kansai-Istanbul Route

  • 2023-05-30

Kansai Airports is excited to announce that Turkish Airlines (TK), the national flag carrier of Türkiye, will resume service with four weekly non-stop flights between Kansai and Istanbul from December 12, 2023.

Serving more countries in the world than any other airline, the recipient of the award for Best Airline in Europe will reconnect Kansai and Istanbul for the first time in six years since 2017, having weathered the COVID-19 pandemic.

Istanbul―the bridge between East and West which straddles Europe and Asia―offers a mystical atmosphere created by a mixture of cultures and is one of the most popular destinations among Japanese tourists. Istanbul also provides convenient connections to destinations throughout Europe; thus, this resumption is expected to further boost demand for air travel from Japan.

Kansai Airports will continue to expand its aviation network and deliver more convenient and comfortable travel experiences for all passengers.
