Travel resumes at BNE

  • 2023-02-14

With the threat of lightning easing at Brisbane Airport, travel is resuming.

Ground operations were put on hold around 3pm due to the safety risk for people on the tarmac.

Conditions will continue to be monitored close to the airport as severe thunderstorms remain in South East Queensland.

We do expect some residual delays as a backlog of flights are cleared.

Brisbane Airport thanks travellers for their patience this evening.

Passengers should check with their airline in relation to individual flights.

Services between Brisbane and Auckland have been impacted by severe wind in New Zealand which has forced the cancellation of all flights at Auckland Airport.
