Shanghai Airport Authority Donates Epidemic Prevention Materials to Partner Airports

  • 02 Apr 2020

Last month, Shanghai Airport Authority donated the epidemic prevention materials including masks, goggles, PPEs and gloves to Macau International Airport, Milan Malpensa International Airport, and Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport.

Shanghai Airport Authority has been implementing precise prevention and control measures to contain the epidemic since its outbreak with devoted efforts. While Shanghai airports were combating with the Covid-19, the international community offered various supports and assistants, helping to contain the epidemic. Currently as the whole world is facing the challenge of the outbreak of Covid-19, the demand of the epidemic prevention materials have been accelerating. Shanghai Airport Authority responded swiftly to the needs of some international partner airports and decided to donate epidemic prevention materials to help them overcome the difficulties. Due to the impact of the Covid-19, Shanghai Airport Authority faced great challenges of transporting the materials to the partner airports. However, with the concerted efforts of China Customs and airlines like China Eastern and Macau Airlines, all the materials were successfully delivered to the destination airports within 4 days.

The sudden outbreak of the Covid-19 is severely impacting the airport industry. It is more important for the airports to strengthen the cooperation between each other. The mutual supports and assistances between airports will also foster the faith to overcome the epidemic and ensure the quick recovery of the airport industry.
