Runway Night Walk at Kobe Airport

Kansai Airports Kobe is delighted to announce the Runway Night Walk at Kobe Airport on 22 August 2025. 

This event offers you a rare opportunity to walk on the runway illuminated by airfield lights and other areas not open to the public after the airport has closed for the day. A guide will provide commentary about the runway and taxiways. Enjoy an enchanting summer night at Kobe Airport!

Date: Friday, 22 August 2025, 22:00 (reception opens at 21:45) to Saturday, 23 August, around 00:30 
Place: Kobe Airport Terminal 1 and the restricted area 
Program: 1) Tour of the rooftop observation deck after closing (including the Miniature Museum) 2) Guided night walk on the runway and taxiways (on foot) after the airport operations have ended 
Eligibility: Elementary school students and older 
Capacity: Maximum of forty-five participants (up to five people per group) 
Admission fee: 5,000 yen per person (tax included) (to be paid in cash on the day of the event) 
Application: Please fill out the application form on the Kobe Airport website with the following information: full names, addresses, and ages of all applicants, and phone number and email address of the group representative at https://www.kairport.co.jp/event/2025nightwalk
Deadline:  Monday, 4 August 2025 (Participants will be selected by a draw if applications exceed the capacity.) 

Notes: 

*Applicants will receive the result of the draw on Friday, 8 August 2025. - Participants need to be able to travel to and from the airport on their own, such as by personal vehicle, as public transportation is not available after the event. - Parking is available at 150 yen per

hour. - Minors may not apply or participate in this event alone.

They must be accompanied by a guardian. Participants will be asked to present identification (e.g., driver’s license, student card) on the day of the event. - The event is subject to cancellation or change due to rough weather or other reasons related to the management or operation of other facilities. (The event will be held in 
light rain.)
