Plaza Premium Group (PPG), the global leader in integrated airport hospitality services, has won three awards at the Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) + Hospitality Awards 2025 by The Moodie Davitt Report, which recognizes the best of travel food & beverage and hospitality. The Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) + Hospitality Conference and Awards have been instrumental in transforming the airport hospitality sector over the last ten years.
As the only international event dedicated to airport food and beverage, it not only celebrates outstanding achievements but also sets the direction for future industry growth. This year, PPG was honoured with awards for Airport Lounge Food & Beverage Offer of the Year (Overall winner – Infinity Room at Plaza Premium First Hong Kong), Airport Chef of the Year (Overall winner - Chef Subhash Chander – Plaza Premium Group EMEA), and Airport Bar of the Year (Asia Pacific winner - Intervals).
These distinctions, earned amidst intense competition, highlight PPG’s innovation and dedication to redefining airport dining and delivering genuine, exceptional experiences. In addition, PPG received “Highly Commended” recognitions in two categories: Airport Customer/Hospitality Initiative of the Year for its global lounge experience campaign - “Your Destination Before Departure,” and Airport Lounge of the Year for PPG’s first dual lounge concept in North America – Plaza Premium Lounge & Plaza Premium First Vancouver.
Intervals, the one-of-a-kind airport cocktail bar at Hong Kong International Airport, was awarded Airport Bar of the Year for the Asia Pacific region for the second consecutive year. Previously recognized as Opening of the Year in 2023 and Best Airport Bar – Asia Pacific in 2024 at the FAB Awards, Intervals continues to raise the bar for airport cocktail experiences. The Intervals team brings world-class cocktail craftsmanship to our guests through passion and creativity. Last year, we also launched an innovative cocktail experience, a virtual bar takeover series “Cocktail Globetrotting.” This experience features a lineup of world-renowned bartenders and their signature creations, inviting guests to 'travel with us' through destination-inspired cocktails from Tokyo, Mexico, Delhi, Singapore, and Guangzhou. Plaza Premium First Hong Kong’s Infinity Room at Hong Kong International Airport won Airport Lounge Food & Beverage Offer of the Year. The elevated lounge concept of Plaza Premium First made its global debut at Hong Kong International Airport in 2018, marking a transformative evolution in Plaza Premium Group’s mission to redefine travel and provide sophisticated travelers with the ultimate blend of comfort and personalised service. Chef Subhash Chander, Executive Chef for Plaza Premium Group’s EMEA region, has been named Airport Chef of the Year. Chef Subhash leads with creativity and passion, transforming the finest and freshest ingredients into gastronomic creations infused with local flavours to elevate every traveller’s dining experience at our lounges and dining outlets across EMEA. His commitment to culinary innovation shines through inclusive, seasonal, and culturally inspired dishes that cater to diverse cultures and dietary preferences. Plaza Premium Group’s dual-concept lounge at Vancouver International Airport, combining Plaza Premium Lounge and Plaza Premium First, was highly commended for the Airport Lounge of the Year. Opened in December last year, our new Canadian flagship lounge, located in Vancouver International Airport’s terminal, marked a landmark launch for PPG. It is the first dual-concept facility in North America that combines Plaza Premium Lounge and Plaza Premium First. It is also the first-ever Plaza Premium First in the region. The lounge is designed to cater to a diverse range of travellers—from luxury seekers to business travellers and families. Embodying PPG’s vision of becoming a destination before departure, the lounge features the “Proudly Local” experience, celebrating Vancouver’s vibrant community through art, food, and people.
The “Proudly Local” initiative, part of the “Your Destination Before Departure” campaign, was also highly commended for the Airport Customer/Hospitality Initiative of the Year Launched last year, the “Proudly Local” experience is now available at Plaza Premium Lounges in over 13 global destinations—including London, Dubai, Vancouver, Toronto, Kuala Lumpur, Rome, and more—and continues to expand worldwide. This initiative captures the spirit of each city through authentic food, art, and culture, offering travellers an immersive journey right within our lounges.
