KIX Summer Vacation Special Event "Parent-child Environment Tour"

Kansai Airports is excited to announce that a special summer vacation event, “Parent-child Environment Tour” is set to be held on August 8, 2023, for elementary school students and their parents living near the Kansai International Airport (KIX).

At Kansai Airports, we have been implementing a variety of environmental measures and SDG initiatives, such as reducing CO2 emissions. Through this event, we invite you to visit environment-related facilities at KIX, such as a purification center and hydrogen station, providing you with a learning opportunity about our environmentally friendly initiatives. We have prepared a wide variety of content that parents and children can enjoy and learn as a summer research project, including a VR experience and observation of microorganisms of theseaweed bed around KIX, and the introduction of environmentally friendly measures taken during aircraft operations.Kansai Airports Group will continue to introduce the attractions of the airport and travel to as many people as possible through events that bring excitement to everyone, with the aim of making airports friendly to people and the environment.

Date and time: Tuesday, August 8, 2023, from 12:15 to 16:30 (Reception at 12:00)

Participants: Elementary school students in grades 4 to 6 and their guardians (in pairs)
Maximum capacity: 25 pairs, 50 people 
Participation fee: Free

1. VR experience and lecture on the environment
2. Tour and demonstration of environment-related facilities at KIX
3. Observation of environmental measures for ground aircraft operations
