KIX / ITAMI / KOBE Traffic Report for December 2025

At Kansai International Airport, the number of non-Japanese passengers was 94% year-on-year, falling belowthe previous year’s level for the first time in three years and eleven months, since January 2022. The numberof Japanese passengers increased to 116% year-on-year; however, total international passengers stood at 2.22million, or 99% year-on-year, likewise falling below the previous year’s level for the first time in three yearsand eleven months.

By destination, passenger numbers for China were 61% year-on-year, significantly below the previous year’slevel, while those for Korea and Southeast Asia increased to 114% and 113%, respectively. As a result, manydestinations recorded year-on-year growth.
