Japan Airlines to launch a Narita to Delhi route; Expanding its India route and making it more convenient to transit to North America

Japan Airlines will launch a direct flight between Narita and Delhi (India) starting from January 17,2026. This Delhi route will bring the total number ofJ AL routes between Narita to India to two, in addition to the Bengaluru route, which celebrated its fifth anniversary in 2025.

India has a population of about 1.4billion people and is expected to maintain one of the world's top economic growth rates going forward. Delhi is attracting international attention as a key political, economic, and cultural hub. Inaddition, demand for travel from India to Japan is robust, with the number of visitors from India projected toexceed 300,000 in2025.

The launch oft his Delhi route will notonly significantly contribute to expanding business, tourism, and cultural exchange between Japan and India, but also further enhance the Narita’s vital hub function of connecting India and NorthAmerica.
