GMR Hyderabad International Airport Installs Sanitary Napkin Vending Machines on International Women’s Day

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, to ensure comfort to women passengers and promote hygienic practices, GMR Hyderabad International Airport has introduced Vending Machines to dispense Sanitary Napkins. This is yet another initiative launched under the airport’s signature passenger-centric programme – ‘Passenger is Prime’.

 

These vending machines are installed in 26 ladies washrooms at various levels both in the domestic and international areas of the terminal building. It is a coin operated vending machine and users need to insert a five rupee coin for each napkin.

 

Additional facility of incinerator machines have also been installed to hygienically dispose the used napkins. Airport housekeeping team is assisting for this facility.

 

Hyderabad Airport has introduced several innovative initiatives for passengers under its ‘Passenger is Prime Programme’. Some of these include – Express Security Check Area, Passenger Service Associates, Plastic Recycling Machines, Verti-lift for senior citizens and passengers with reduced mobility; revamp of Baby Care rooms with feeding area and baby diaper changing Basinet sofas and Interactive Gaming Zone for kids among others.
