During Gateway Gulf 2025 Bahrain Airport Company announces preparation for renewal of partnership with SITA

  • 2025-11-03

Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the operating and managing body of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), is preparing for the renewal of its long-term partnership with SITA, a global leader in air transport IT and communications.

The announcement was made in the presence of Ahmed Naeemi, Gulf Air Group Chief Technology Officer, and Adonis Succar, Vice President, Business Development, SITA during Gateway Gulf 2025, held at the Four Seasons Hotel on 2–3 November 2025.

The renewal covers the maintenance and support of mission-critical airport systems that power BIA’s operations, from passenger processing to flight management, ensuring the continued delivery of a world-class airport experience in line with Bahrain’s digital transformation vision.

BIA manages flight operations, passenger check-in, security validation, and baggage reconciliation with speed and precision. The SITA-powered systems support every stage of the passenger journey, from the moment of check-in to boarding, and enable real-time data sharing among airlines, ground handlers, and airport operations teams.

This renewal reflects BAC’s ongoing commitment to maintaining robust and modern digital infrastructure at the heart of its airport operations.
